Privacy Policy

SShoty doesn’t collect your data. Your screenshots stay on your Mac, and nothing you capture is uploaded.

  • SShoty does not collect, store, sell or share personal information.
  • Your captures stay on your Mac. SShoty does not upload them anywhere.
  • There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
  • Your capture history is kept only on your Mac.

Who we are

SShoty is a Mac app made by Mahtca Global (“we”). This policy explains what the SShoty app and this website do with information. If anything here is unclear, write to sshoty@mahtca.com.

Information SShoty collects

None. SShoty does not collect any data from you or your Mac, and we never receive anything you capture.

Your screenshots

  • SShoty captures your screen only when you ask it to — by pressing the shutter, using the menu bar, or another capture command.
  • Every capture is copied to your clipboard and opened in SShoty’s editor, on your Mac.
  • Your recent captures are kept in a private history on your Mac, up to 300 snips. They are never uploaded.
  • When you choose Save, SShoty writes the image to the location you pick.

The clipboard

SShoty copies each capture to your clipboard. As with anything you copy, it can be seen by clipboard-manager apps you have installed, and may be shared with your other Apple devices through Universal Clipboard if Handoff is on. These are macOS features outside SShoty.

Settings stored on your Mac

SShoty remembers your preferences, such as your capture mode and delay, in your Mac’s standard preferences storage. They stay on your Mac and are never transmitted.

Purchases

SShoty Pro is an in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account information. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions

Screen Recording (called Screen & System Audio Recording in newer versions of macOS) is required so SShoty can capture your screen. SShoty uses it only when you take a capture.

Diagnostics

If you have chosen in macOS to share crash data with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports under Apple’s own terms. They contain no screenshots.

Children

SShoty does not collect information from anyone, including children.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Like any website, the server that hosts it may briefly keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep them secure. The Mac App Store badge is loaded from Apple’s servers, which receive the standard information your browser sends when loading an image.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
